BPO Record Dates

Good morning Pierre,

My further thoughts on the BPO Pref div payment this month:

(i) I just took a quick look at the BPO website summary of the BPO pref shares...the "record date" is the 15th of March June Sept and Dec....I understand the "record date" to be the same as the "ex-div" date. Of course each div payment is subject to B.O.D approval.

I would agree, not sure why BPY creates this little puzzle for all of us. A quarterly press release takes 5 minutes.

(ii) In June, I believe the record date was the 14th as the 15th fell on a Saturday.

(iii) In Sept, the 15th fell on a Sunday and therefore I believe the record is in fact today.  Not surprising to see spikes in the BPO prefs at the close on Friday.

Have a great day,
Carena

GM Carena My understanding is that record dates move back in the calendar, which jibes with what Pierre (and James Hymas) have been told by BPO. I was surprised with the price action Friday.  Maybe the algos didn't notice that the ex-div was wrong lol.

Good morning Sonoffergus, Sorry I just got back from across the pond and probably jet lagged...lol.  I did not read any of the other posts. Thanks for correcting me.  I just found it weird that my brokerage had not updated the div info from the June info.  Bizarre! Have a great day, Carena
