Only way to Privatize Prefers will be to Redeem them, NCIB

won't get them all.   These are thinly traded as it is, and Shorts are providing many of the shares on the sell side.    

What happens to Shorts during a redemption?????   If there's a large short position and a redemption is called and everyone sells to the company, how do shorts cover?

I guess Shorts would have to quickly push the price way above $25 to get people to sell to them before they are redeemed!   Kicker is, how many Prefer Shareholders even actively buying and selling.  Even if share prices go to $30, is there even enough Prefer Shareholders aware of what's going on to sell to the shorts.   I get the feeling most of these shares have been ...more
