Ex dividend date

My broker Rbc shows the date for all Brookfield office as sept 16 with payment on sept 27

Hi Pierre, Jonnyrd et al,  I am with Scotia and they just updated their info today also and it is also Sept 16.  Pierre you told us this morning that the TMX updated its info to say it was Sept 13. I would say yesterday definitely traded more like an ex-div day. Lol. Crazy stuff.   The people at BPY need to get to work. Have a great day, Carena

Hi Carena. I expect that no one backdates dividend info because that is fraught.  TMX gets it Friday and reports, brokers get it from Thomson Reuters or whoever and update on Monday.  Lawsuit avoidance mode. Players on both sides of this mess may have been harmed.  I note that the TSX rules for reporting dividend declarations say this: if the issuer doesn't have the info filed ...more

Good evening. Since I did not buy nor sell shares last week, the screw-up in record and ex-dividend dates does not affect me monetarily.  But it sure annoys me. The folks at BPO, BPY and BN have shown a lack of responsibility.  There is no excuse for that (I include BN because I contacted them last week and nothing was done). Carena, I notice your post claim TMX updated ex-div to Sept. 13th....... Check again, it's displays the 16th.      I believe you, it probably was displaying the 13th..... but now it's saying 16th.
