OT - GREAT Royalty Aquisition

They managed to buy in a all share deal the NSr on PMI`s Obotan project
The grear thing is: the deemed price for the aquisition is 0.5$. stock trades @ 0,25

Asante Gold Corporation: Acquisition of Obotan Gold Project 1% NSR Royalty Announced

Marketcap 5million. 2014e Royalty cash flow 3.5million p.a.
- in addition nice land Holdings next to T.PRU`s producing mine in Ghana.
Very nice one. And with that Royalty cash flow, from end of 2013 on they won`t need to do any more dilution.
i am in, and i say under 0.5 this is great buy, market still very much asleep in this one.
let`s say onle 5times Royalty revenue from 2014 on = marketcap of 40million!
at 10 times= 80million
now: incl the issuance for the aquisition 20+45m shares = 65m shares*0,27= 17,5million

teatime is ASE a better deal than the other smaller royalties you like. like abitibi, terraco or gold royalties?

YES! best deal i`ve seen EVER in the royalty space (besides big ones that FNV or RGl might have made) look at rthe terms! the seller of teh royalty vlaues the shares @50 cents while trading at 0,25... Look at the financials and look at the people involved. not self serving management. The underlying asset is huge as PMI has 180million in cash. here is a quick overview  ( in comparison with ...more

Just one thing that bothers me, the seller of the royalty is the CEO of the company which is acquiring the royalty. I usually don't like to see such deals.

??? this is interesting logic:   If the personal relationships allow the company to do a great deal FOR the comapny, why should this be something to worry about or not to like???   If the deal would have been the other way around. such that ASE would have issued 100million shares at 20cents, okay then it would have maybe been a bad deal for it`s shareholders. BUT! this way around i think ...more

PMI Gold indeed has a great project in Ghana with Obotan. On all metrics, except perhaps the exploration potential, it is superior when compared to Keegan. On the board of Sandstorm I suggested a few days ago for Sandstorm to buy a royalty for this project. ASE.V will have a 1% royalty on a soon to be producing project of 220,000 yearly ounces. That is $ 3.7 million cash flow a year starting 2014 ...more

For those who are short-sighted or who do not believe in the potential of the merged entity, the existing BPV warrants will not be appealing. As of today, you can buy BPV shares for $0.60 and warrants for about $0.25 for a spread of $0.35. Since the exercise price is $0.50, you are paying a $0.15 premium for the warrants over th shares. However, if you believe in the growth potential that has been ...more

Mr.Law, you may have a good point, but what if you look at it from this angle: The president and CEO of Asante, Mr. Douglas MacQuarrie, is also Managing Director of Goknet. Asante Gold has appointed two independent directors to act as a Special Committee to oversee this transaction. The price is set at $ 22.5 million, which seems quite fair if you consider that cash flow streams on this royalty ...more
