If the cash cost per ounce is $800 USD and the gold price is $2,500 USD, the company would make a profit of $1,700 USD per ounce. For 5 million ounces, the total potential profit would be:

  • $1,700 USD × 5 million ounces = $8.5 billion USD.

Do you really believe all that potentail tax revenue will be skipped in order that natives can mine illegally thus elimating any tax revenue for the government .,really ?
