I keep thinking of those who chased Eric to SU...and shake my head....you need a massive influx of generalists to move that....I keep saying it but hear people still promoting it wondering why it's not moving...it's like they don't get it....big fish move slow.

Oil $81.41
Nat Gas $5.72

....and SU up 4 pennies.....


That is why you don't chase the nut....just a trader who promotes his basket (after he buys)

I only follow Nuttall for his overall view on oil, which is extremely bullish!  As for his stock picks, forget it.  He will go on shows and pump up small and mid caps saying that he wants them to return shareholder value then dumps them before he even gives these companies any chance to do that.IE Baytex.   I really believe he's panicking a bit as his fund is doing so well so he ...more

Can't blame him. He has a huge performance bonus coming his way for beating his index. Seems fair he'd hedge by getting a little closer to the index. Not a bad strategy for anyone that had 100% of his portfolio in high risk/high return small to mid cap producers and outperformed by 100% plus. For the rest of us, it's more important to be invested in the sector than to bicker over which ...more

Yes all true.  In a charging oil market, the large caps move slow.  But they also do that on the way down too.   He did this last year at this time as well.  I think he is trying to play seasonal weakness but doesn't want to go to cash so instead chooses things that will not lose too much if oil goes down but still give him some muted upside in case he's wrong ...more

He probably buy more BTE beginning of 2022 to start full throttle is new year ! BTE will help him impress new customers !!!
