Correct. Those that understand how a virus works will tell you that it should weaken prior to running its course. The hope is that further mutations will continue to weaken the consequences of infection. The main issue with Omnicron is its R factor so far. In other words, I don't want it, but the symptoms appear to be mild. Everything else is conjecture.
