Going Forward

Many on this board make predictions about the price going forward. Many on this board make predictions about FCF as well. In all this what I am really looking at is proven and probable reserves as Eagle Ford, the whole field not just the Baytex holdings, is depleting at a good clip. Further I see that some Clearwater wells nearby the Baytex holdings are showing some declines as well. I hope the year end Statements include a revised proven and probable reserves list. That will determine how long I stay with Baytex. Oil Price will be what it is and production will be what it is, but for how long is the big question otherwise FCF has to be diverted to aquisitions. My opinion only.

Goood comments. This has been in the back of my mind as well. In 2 to 3 yrs this will be very important giver the 10 yrs or so of proven reserves if I remember correctly. But we should be in a great position to make moves as needed.

their latest presentation states they have 215 M proven plus probable barrels of reserves at Eagle Ford. Which, frankly shows you how undervalued the company is. At 80 dollar oil, what is each barrel worth? I've wondered about the possibility of selling the eagle Ford, retrench to Canada, buyout a company like TVE and take a commanding piece of the Clearwater. TVE has a market cap of 1.9b cdn ...more

another way to look at the eagle ford is it has produced 222M Cdn fcf thru 9 months in 2021. It'll be north of 300m for the year. And if 85 holds, probably pushing 350m in 2022. It's got north of 10 years of drilling inventory. What's the present value of the revenue stream? Certainly a heck of a lot higher than its contribution to bte's market cap.
