Hey ...... what happened to all this talk about ........

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed the lack of "climate emergency" hysteria lately ? With another burst of cold weather , Nat Gas prices were "ridin high" again today and the eco-woke crew are once again MIA . With inflation effecting the heating costs for every middle class home and a winter that doesn't want to end , how long do you think it will take before the "newly woke" actually wake up ?

I have never bought into this stupidity but then I was taught to ask questions , not blindly accept a flawed theory or knuckle under to pier pressure . 20,000 years ago Canada was under 2 miles of glacial ice (ie: the ice age) . So where do you think all that ice went ? Could it be the climate shifted which started that ice to melt ? And where is it written that the melting would stop once the glaciers were confined to mountain valley's ?

Can you imagine the stupidity that we would be witnessing if the "dirty 30's" were happening today ? An 8 year drought that turned the north american plains into deserts . Most schools won't even include that weather event in the curriculum because the truth is "counter productive" to the lgbtq person brainwashing your children . The wheels are starting to fall off the woke express , as people open their eyes and start asking questions these right-wing fabrications will end up hanging like Salami in a butchers window .

I remember like it was yesterday , Lizzy May being interviewed on cbc when she said " Keystone XL will be obsolete before it's completed " (back when it was being built , pre-Biden) . Where are the "fact checkers" or "truth police" on this one ? If we don't talk about it , it never happened ..... but it did happen and the lies continue today . Has anyone even seen old "horseface" lately ? Communist's and dictators have north america by the short and curly's because of right wing policy , the silver lining is , its raining FCF for NA producers .

We have 3 days before the Easter long weekend (blizzard forecast for Mb/Sk Thursday night) and once we are past that its 9 trading days to Q1 reporting followed by the May long weekend and driving season . Demand is strong and supply is limited , so fire up the (gas) BBQ , pour yourself a drink and get comfy but a word of caution . Watch out for the wild anger and fury of baby Huey , seems someone missed their afternoon nap and is still wearing a dirty diaper but in my world , the sun is shining !!!!

Thanks mas , its still a bit too early without enough coffee to kick start my brain . I'll shut up until the neurons are firing properly

Hey Top!  Just a few things.  The planet has undergone warming periods and cooling periods throughout its existence. That is why we have palm trees under the ice.  The isue is that we ARE exacerbating the issue. That is a fact. If you don't believe it then check Exxon's own personal conclusions on the matter conducted in the 1970s which they had hoped to surpress in the 80s ...more

All we are doing is changing the "recipe" mas . What I mean by that is once we have warmed (which is happening with or without us) to a certain point the north and south poles will release their trapped Methane which by all accounts is worse than CO2 .  My point is that this "snowball" started rolling down hill 20,000 years ago which has set in motion events we can not ...more

I recently had a long discussion with a friend of mine about EVs and the need to switch. Climate change is accepted as a fact. At least in the western world. In my view, Chinese and Indian scientists are certainly as bright as ours. So why aren't the Chinese and the Indians desperately trying to get off coal as an example? I certainly get that moving to renewables is good in the long run, but ...more
Comment by masfortuna on Apr 12, 2022 4:12pm
Seriously?  Ok.  China and Indian BOTH don't have any significant oil.  They need to buy it.  China's switch to EV is actually an attempt to remove their dependency on oil being imported. The electrical grids are being loaded with coal power generators or hydro (which requires dams which they have done regardless of what the dam construction did to the eco system in the ...more

Are you coming after me with this ?
Comment by masfortuna on Apr 12, 2022 10:21pm
what do you mean?  I think we are saying the same thing.  It doesn't matter what Canada will do unless everybody is onboard. That's what I am saying.
Comment by topdown99 on Apr 12, 2022 10:43pm
My apologies mas , I have been going in 5 different directions today and I missed your meaning upon first reading . This pigheaded "woke" stupidity is making my blood boil , it was a bad day to quit smoking , lol .

NP Top. As I said a few times on this board, I have been around the block only once BUT it was a very long block :)

>You only get one life to live. I'd like mine to be enjoyable And the high cost of what government policies do to the impact on my personal way of life, so that people born a hundred years from now benefit at my and my kids expense is not a very good deal in my opinion. Now if the big polluters helped out I'd say okay. The usa has what 230 to 240 coal plants. And a lot are converted to ...more
