Does he praise the deal, going against his thesis of shareholder returns, or does he maintain what he's been telling investors for the last 12 months?

Woke, I won't carry on about this but I will say one thing. I was talking to an old friend (used to be in banking) and this was the discussion 1. Energy companies have had enough with bankers...this is why the big push to eliminate debt 2. Bank see this as a problem. Normally O&G companies are spending on Capex and giving the banks the rest of the FCF 3. Bank needed to change the ...more

Nuttballs didn't do his usual act today and that was refreshing.  He stayed true to his thesis by not pumping WCP after today's deal and emphasizing shareholder returns of FCF.   He took a step towards regaining my trust today.

I didn't expect him to be happy about the deal. Glad he didn't bash it...but he is correct it delayed the returns to shareholders that "could have been sooner" Bankers jumped to the front of the line there.....you hope it changes in 2023...unless someone else jumps the line again next year....
