Red, I expected this. A year ago I felt the appropriate short % relative to others should be around 10m shares (you will always have a short position!) So I expect to drop a bit more. As we continue to buyback shares and eliminate debt your will see that continue to drop. That has been a good support for price at these levels. Q2 we see the next step in the debt and how the shareholder returns

Just notice, shares shorted of Baytex for the 2 weeks ending july 15 decline by 23,7% or 4,772,972 shares.  I think it's a good sign.  See the top 10 decline shares shorted for this period in the energy sector. Most cie in this top 10 list already buyback their shares massively !!!
