That should be the real discussion over population and lack of resources. Whether it is oil, gas or even drinking water. We have too many people.

The elephant in the room is that the population growth seems to be centered in areas of the world that can least afford it (i.e. Egypt, Nigeria...) or those that are already overpopulated (China, India...).

 Sure thats true but those people will also need food, water, energy etc. Canada grows by 1000/day and the USA by 7000/day. It is highly improbable that we can keep getting more effiecient enough to offset this growth.
