Both CPI and Core CPI below consensus
Following with the data out of Japan and China last night.
It will be an interesting day
Core CPI expected 6.1% actual 5.9%
CPI expected 8.7% actual 8.5%

They'll figure out a narrative to talk oil down. The US dollar should decline though, which will help us. My opinion only.

We still need time for the capex/supply story to play out. Early innings imo Just kicking the can down the road for now

I agree with your assessment Wolf , we all know there is no magic production switch to get immediate results . Reminds me of an old TV ad , "you can pay me now or you can pay me (more) later"

Also with that CPI print some will move to tech (which is beyond me). I assumed the Nasdaq would be up today so some shifting. But again not a day to day or week to week for me. I continue to look to 2023 and for that I don't see much that has changed in the last few months.
