BTE stock price

For all of these negative comments about the economy , energy prices ,Iran this ,Russia that ,smoking Joe Biden draining the SPR with oil around $95 US & Nat gas over $9 US , I'm very comfortable with the stock price and its outlook for the future . I bought in in the low $2 range when the debt was around 2 billion , no Clearwater production , more float , oil at $60 , Nat gas $3.75 . Clearwater production is ramping up ,hedges lower in 4 plus months with better margins . In the past I had my days of disappointment with Baytex , even critsized it many times , that has changed. Better times , stock appreciation , dividends are coming for those that have patience .Baytex like many other energy companies were dead ducks 18 months ago , most had huge debt , the outlook was very bleek . I guess we should thank the lockdowns and the EV hype for the lack of investments in the energy sector . The world needs and runs on electricity from all forms so relax with the day to day media and BS . Think about it ,once by late 2023 , Baytex could absolutely be debt free , producing more with less shares outstanding , do you really think that it won't be 2 -3 times higher in value? I do, so that's why I'm staying long in Baytex .

Yes, Totally agree. Sometimes we forget that every day we buyback shares, every day we pay off debt. Not sure what the number is at these prices but probably around 2 million, every day.  Year end can't be that far awy, the wife mentioned christmas shopping the other day, lol.

At these prices over $12 million off the debt every single week. PS good luck with the shopping!

Thanks for all the informative posts from those who know who they are.Being a shareholder in bte and allways with junior and midcaps felt that management in the long run was the most important component when it came to stock performance.,what is your thoughts on ED moving on when BTE is just ramping up to be a major performer in 2023.

I know we've butted heads in the past, but this is a great post. Well said!

Hey If we didn't butt heads every now and then it would be a pretty dull place, just sayin

Wild great post. Yes we dealt with the negativity and noise in 2020, 2021 and now 2022. I'm sure we will still deal with the noise in 2023. The negative comments will come from new ID's (same people) while we see the Baytex debt eliminated, shares bought back and when targets hit a dividend. Will be an exciting 22 months imo. Holding long June 30, 2023 initial review, with a follow-up June ...more

I second that.   You have invested in the company and are not trading the company.   I can't wait till q3 2023.   Go Baytex.   Maybe once the dividends start the wife can retire ;).
