The only problem I have with the article is the title. It's "We Are" or " We're" and not "were". The fact that it's in the title and wasn't caught tells you just exactly how far down the ladder our general education has dropped.  Boy do I ever miss my classes when we had to read  Julius Ceasar's "Commentaries" in latin
