Baytex $$ Cashflow will be insane on Earnngs for NOV 03 2022

Wtih WTI and Brent forecast to get an average $100 later this year and into 2023....cash flow is gonna take BTE to new highs.....This was a $40 stock not long ago in yr 2014....as debt goes down, cash flow rising....it is an exciting time for oil and gas plays

What would it take for BTE to reach even half of that value....$20/sh?

In a "normal" market environment, we should already be there. Name me another sector where a company brings in 20% of the value of the comapny in fcf and trades at about 2x book... Mas

Of course, but much better FCF for Q4 !!!! Roughly 100M$ more compare to Q3 See below my homemade forecast for Q3 - 2022 ! BOE/D : Increase by 5,6% compare to Q2 2022 because i used conservatively only 84,700 boe/d compare to guidance projected by Baytex si below  Guidance of Baytex for BOE/d ending year 2022, see page 5 of Oct presentation  2022 Guidance Production guidance of 83 ...more

Hi Red. I am looking at your chart and particularly the long term debt.  If your numbers are correct and q4 avg for wti is $100, that would give us approximately $200 million in fcf at 75% for the debt.  am I to conclude hat we may end q4 at less than $800 million?  I am pretty sure I remember BTE stating q1/q2 2023 for that $800 million target.  Mas

I'd say less than 800 is possible if we average 100 wti in Q4 and production is at the high end of guidance. I've never seen bte mention Q2 2023 as a potential time to be <800. only="" "early"="" 2023,="" i="" wouldn't="" consider="" q2="">
Comment by masfortuna on Oct 05, 2022 8:45am
Ok Thx.  Looking at some of the releases, they did say "early 2023 BUT they would report that in q1 at the earliest which is in April.

I agreed with you, for end of Q4, LT debt near or under 800M$ ! Depend if they spend more CAPEX over 60M$ as it was forecast for Baytex for Q4. You know, better spend another 20M$ or so, to increase boe/d, especially if they see payback in weeks instead of months !!! I am waiting for those drilling results : Expect to bring 24 wells onstream in 2022; program expanded to include 6 additional ...more

I am curious as to why anybody at this point thinks we might average 100 WTI for the 4th Quarter. We are at around 87 today which is up 7 from the beginning of the month. For every day at 87 we would need a day at 113. I am just thinking this average seems quite unlikely to me. I would love it though.
Comment by masfortuna on Oct 05, 2022 8:51am
Hi Dll(alphabet)!  Yes if the quarter was half done it would require $113 BUT we just started the quarter.  So oil at $103 for 1 month gets us to $100.

Dallas cowboys fan, Oh i understand the math. i am just saying even talk about 100wti average for the quarter first we need to see the price get at least close to 100wti, because the differance in fcf between 85 and 100 is huge obviously as would be the debt reduction.
