Big Trade At The End?

From monitoring the close, I estimate that a trade greater than 1.5 million shares went through seconds before the close...I think it's a very good sign...

Nice post Lee! Here is something I was puting together as I read your post. ----- Baytex – Price Increase into earnings.   It’s obvious to anyone who reads this board that earnings is forthcoming. Is earnings itself reason enough to explain the recent run up in price? Maybe. I think it’s reason enough to evaluate other possibilities as well.   If you have been shorting the ...more

Nice to see you posting again RS! So the 18 months has passed and we can apply for NYSE listing again? If that's the case than I'd love to get news from the new President of pending NYSE relisting!!

It's 50/50 with large block trades , some fund cashed out with another that wanted in . Market timing is hard to predict , should we have sold back in May when BTE was over $9.00 , probably , one never knows . For example ,Cardinal energy reaches a new 52 week high today at $90 oil , Baytex today was $1.60 away from reaching their previous 52 week high . Baytex reports tomorrow , Cardinal ...more

Good words. I wonder about how will the spot price of oil behave when global demand for everything falls off a cliff in a few short months.  I suspect the record low inventories are not lost on the US amdinistration and I would imagine they are very aware of the incoming recession to help mute the impact... chances are it's a hard landing and with reserves extremely low and forward demand ...more

The economy ia NOT firing on all cylinders. China with covid, Spr, Russina sanctions start in december, ducs drain out, seasonality just starting, inventories at reord lows . Even a fair size recession means we stay here. Too many countries will be hurt and are hurting as we speak.

I propose, given today's Fed speech, the econonmy is running way too hot and this (present economy) is gonna be the best we can expect from here on out given the tools the Fed is using to kill jobs, consumer demand, housing/real estate values, and growth. The Fed doesn't try to slow weak economies... it attacks strong economies. So while the economy could always perform even better, we ...more

Anyone who suggests the economy is firing on all cylinders should be ignored.  Also you will get flippers and bears trying to scare people to believe the world economy is contracting WRONG or will I  2023.... Sure China growth in 2023 will be modest...BUT it is still growth... With US production decreasing there is a supply issue.  We have heard the sky is falling for a while ...more

this is laughable. Tell that to the Fed. Tell that to the record jobs market and record consumer demand bolstering record inflation.   if you think the economy is gonna get amped from here while the Fed crushes it perhaps BSW is the one who should be ignored.  mate you guys that shortsighted that all you see is oil going to the moon? Geez take an economics course or something  ...more

I added at the close (no I wasn't that big block).  My guess is that we haven't realy begun to run. If my numbers are correct, we should be below 1 billion in debt which puts us about 1q away from the magical 800 million. Does it look like oil will hold it's own for the next 3 months?  My answer is yes and that means that accumulation should start soon.  Also ...more
