Time to delist?
The world is in an energy crisis ? The SPR has to be refilled ? Russian oil is boycotted ? Buybacks of outstanding shares ? Tax loss selling ? WTI prices up , oil stocks down ? Governments to impose windfall tax when shareholders being screwed ? The price of cheap energy is over ? It's time for Baytex & many other Canadian oil and gas companies to delist and go private , the stock market only promotes companies that have no earnings , they promote short selling instead of companies that are improving their debt loads.Biden was dumping oil at $100 plus down to the $70 range , now he wants to re purchase at $70 or less ,genius . It's also time for OPEC to cut production 5 Million barrels , enough is enough . Have food prices come down? Food companies reported 30% in profits ? No windfall tax for them .The big banks reported record profits ,in the Billions every quarter so let's raise rates again . This is war on because we allow it to be . Message to Mr. Greager , delist it, sell it, protect the shareholders , do something .

I agree, If I was Baytex or any oil company at all I would cut capex at least in half. No point in growing production. Maybe it might even be best to let production slip and instead of paying out 500m for capex pay off debt, buy back more shares. If all companies did this for 1 year oil would be at 100 plus.

Agreed ,cut capex in half at least .like I said ,the new CEO has to do something to stop the bleeding . If this goes down to $3-4 again nobody will touch it after getting burned . Their debt a few years back was close to 3 Billion , now it's closer to 1 Billion with buybacks happening and yet here we are ,down ,down ,down every day .
