Aren't BTE Management has promised shareholders BTE's  focus  is on paying down BTE's debt to certain level, then focus on shareholder return by share buyback or dividends ?  How come now is spending money for acquisition and even picking up the debt pile ???

Hey forecast , this is news to me , like I've been saying , these liars , criminals that BS investors with promises of dividends , more buybacks and the best statement of all , we've initiated shareholder returns? How with more debt like in 2018 . Like I said , history will repeat for Baytex , especially being listed on the NYSE , a Canadian based company run by an American CEO can't ...more

I wondered how Eric Nuttall (his fund is largest shareholder) felt about this BTE's move of doing acquisition and taking up its debt pile INSTEAD of using FCF to pay down debt and max shareholder return.
