2.5 billion more debt? So much for enhancing shareholders value , FU  Eric . Ranger oil closing price today on the NASDAQ , over $41.00 US . News , David buys Goliath , another nail in in Baytex's coffin . Ranger oil 2022 income ,$285 million , once again another mistake , overpaid for a small time producer with another $600 plus debt we're taking on from Ranger oil. Recent record high interest rates , really Eric , this is how you're going to reward us?

Oh man is this gonna be like the Raging River situation all over again?! Yikes. Buying at the peak before a recession with more debt.

Unfortunately, it's more like $3.4 billion to us. :( The total consideration to be paid by Baytex, including the assumption of net debt, is approximately US$2.5 billion (C$3.4 billion)

Well this sell off in shares will lower the purchase price which Ranger may balk at . Lawyers are already involved , seems the only question is who backs out first . If bte was smart they would have been buying shares cheap today

If Baytex overpaid, Ranger would have gone up a lot more than 0.5% today. That tells me that BTE has offered to pay fair market value for Ranger.
