As for me personally, I think oil has reached or is pretty close to reaching it's lows for the year.  If your investing mantra is "buy low and sell high" the question becomes how low are you comfortable with? If you are a momentum trader, I think the momentum has been down for awhile. If you can take advantage of that then great but, as I pointed out on multiple occasions, stating after the fact that oil is dropping is pointless.  we can all see that. I don't include the useless posters who have been around for the last 2 years pointing out how BTE will do poorly. Thx but these comments are as useful as someone pointing out that it will rain over he next 6 months...In other words useless. I for one added some shares today of both BTE and OBE.

The difference is the posters that have been bearish on BTE for the past year have been....right. BTE is one of the worst performing Canadian oil stocks over the past 12 months. It doubled from when I bought in $6 range only to drop to a 57% gain in 2 years ...more

And the same posters that are bearish, WERE BEARISH WHEN I FIRST BOUGHT BTE AT $1.60.  That's why I wouldn't call them bears, but folks with an agenda.

I had sold out a significant amount of my Athabasca and Baytex in June 2020 . Athabasca above 3$ and Baytex bwetween 8-9$ .  I sold more Athabasca Oil last 2 weeks at 3.2$ ish .  This new deal reduces breakeven price ,so a more resilient company. Interest rates are falling ,so if they get a good deal to support notes for Ranger Oil financing might work well . Those who played oilcrashes ...more
