Is it time to sell or hold
I'm new to the stock market and I realize I'm out of alot of peoples league at investing and knowledge but i would like some peoples honest thoughts on baytex. Is it a sell or hold as i have invested roughly 40,000 shares in baytex right now ( im down approx 38% now), ever since the ranger deal seems baytex is continually going down in the last 6 months and approx 60% in the last year, the banks have now given baytex a 5.50 price target, for the 12 month period., im getting mixed reviews on the purchase of ranger, some say its a bad deal and some say it's a good deal any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

@ Poorbcboy - You're new to investing but you hold 40K BTE shares? Sorry but that's a little hard to believe.

Sorry for your loss. Not a great pick for your first investment.

Deep blue thanks for your comment but my initial investment was with crew energy and made a good return, I noticed that baytex has been always a dollar or so ahead of crew so I sold crew in intervals and bought into baytex, now crew is approx a dollar or so more than baytex, deep blue should I walk away and reinvest that a company that has been saturated with stocks?

Personal opinion, BTE won't go much lower form here, however, without meaningful increase of oil price, it become dead money, won't go much high either If I was you, may sell half of BTE

Agree why sell at the 52 week low. If you do switch to a Suncor that's also close to a 52 week low that's yielding 5.45%

barneyj44, thank you for your comment, bte being at 52 week low right now and possibly going down even more in the near future, the way the price of oil has been going, we may not see bte at its last year's highs of $9/ share for some time.
