As indicated, he prefers NG (ARX/TOU) and certain big oil companies (doesn't like SU either, prefers CNQ). GLTA

Are very levered to oil prices, so if those prices rise, BTE will move up. But if oil falls, so will BTE. He prefers natural gas, because it can sustain itself through different economic environments. Among oil, he prefers names bigger than BTE.

I think this analyst is wrong.... It's simply Risk-Return.... Any investor investing in Oil and Gas stocks realizes the correlation between the commodity and the share price of the companies that rely on it.... Baytex just happens to have a higher BETA. Sure the debt ratios are higher than most, but considering the predictions for crude, the drawdown on the strategic reserves, consistent ...more

Totally agree... I can see Baytex getting to double digits with the current bull market that all banks now accept... Only one thing we should be careful from today is that when banks and main news agencies start to say no immediate recession and agrees it is bull market, there could be a major pump up and dumping by these guys.... Then they will say that the bear market started!  Anyway ...more

I think that's kind of a lazy analysis. Of course they're all levered to oil prices. What are his thoughts on how bte looks at 75 wti and a 12 buck WCS spread. They look pretty good at those price points and 75 looks like it's going to be a base level price thru early 2024.
