Fakedude?

Saudi extend oil cut but that is fake news. If it us real then my point earlier that the Whitehouse will be draining the rest of the SPR will happen 100%. Tug of war before 2024 election. Hence oil prices will be kept in check. Therefore oil stocks flat at best. That's not bashing. It's just alternate opinion.

Realdude, if you kep on posting your soft bashes , on the ignore pile you will go.  If you feel that bad about the chance of making a profit oil stocks, then sell.  Nobody cares what you plan on doing, but stop posting repeatedly about how bad of an investment this is if you don't understand how oil markets work.

Hi Realdude I've been buying over the last month since the chart guy Keith Richard's suggested he wouldn't buy at $4.50 or what ever it was then so I'm newer to Baytex. To your point of oil being kept in check over the next year if that's the case at give or take $80 oil imagine where Baytex and the others will be financially in a year or so at $80 oil. These company's will ...more

Again I'm hoping for the same but I want other investors that eric nutttal has been preaching to will also get that theme and hop on and make baytex hit $15. That would be awseome

I would add that, if WTI can average $80+ even for the next few months, Q3 results are likely to be very good, leading to a pop when Q3 results are reported.

They are releasing from the spr weekly...So it's the same thing if oil doesn't go up. They want it to go from low to lower.  Personally the models that the companies put forth use $75 oil.  Anything more is gravy. As another poster pointed out to you already , at $80 they will increase their ffo and fcf. The company gets stronger and the sp will reflect that. If you want to try ...more

No oil was released from the SPR during July. The congress mandated SPR sale ended at the end of June.  https://ycharts.com/indicators/us_ending_stocks_of_crude_oil_in_the_strategic_petroleum_reserve The U.S. recently cancelled buying back 6 million barrels of oil to add to the SPR. Any further releases from the SPR this year have to be approved and that is not likely going to happen.  ...more
