Well , it's good to see

Many posters are now voicing their disgust for Silver spoon and his party who favour just one province over all others. They are both disgusting traitors to the country they claim to represent, just like his Father.Difference was PET was both intelligent and politically astute , his Drama King son is neither. Who knows why his wife left , but perhaps she finally got tired of been married to such a Deadhead. The only 2 reasons he is in power is the brainwashing of our young by a leftwing educational system backed up by media disgraced like the bought and paid for CBC and the flood of grateful immigrants he brings in yearly who him and the Liberals no they will vote for them. Now if it iwasent for the Patch and out in the cold Alberta and Saskatchewan who is going to heat their homes , fuel their cars , pay Quebec their bribes and still contribute billions more to the Treasury. Well BTE for one as well as all their associates. The Liberal green agenda is as useless and a fantasy just like Algonquin  and Northland and Ballard to name a few. I have been a Conservative since my early teens and never subscribed to those other mainstream parties who only know how to rob Canada of the much greater prosperity it could have had. A Big C Conservative a darn proud of that 57 year choice..Now let's wait for Dave to defend the indefensible.

CountryBoy69, A few points 1) Ftiedrich Hayek said that the root cause of all economic distress is the waste of capital. Capital should be deployed in the most efficient manner possible in order to produce even more capital in order to increase the standard of living of as many people as possible. Does JT waste capital? Resoundingly yes and lots of it! Are people's standard of living ...more

Hello Kelvin , it's been awhile since we talked and you posted.Things must be good in South America right now. Out here we had 21 days of rain in July and 9 so far in August, l just wish some of that could have been shared with those out West that really need it. One thing for sure Conservatives and the Patch are inventive , hard working and contribute 2ay more than their fair share , Liberals ...more

Yes we will be talking. But not here so much. Montreal is so short of cash, despite Alberta's alms for the poor that they can't even build proper sewage treatment plants and are dumping raw sewage into their own drinking water. Sh*t for brains. Anyway I'm posting a lot on New Stratus Energy nse bullboard. Let's chat there. Lots happening in this part of the world. Let's talk ...more

That's an excellent point about sewage , similar if l recollect to another sanctimonious jurisdiction called the City of Victoria. Both complain about how the miniscule chance of a spill may effect their Whales , yet they bring in oil tankers from Saudi , Montreal canned the Mainline , the safest way to ship oil , and that is our oil not some from a degenerate foreign regime , yet neither or ...more

DivLover, Your post dove tails so well onto other posts regarding this governments stupidity. Harper, with NDP and Liberal backing approved Energy East pipeline back in 2014. Trudeau cancelled it in 2015. Had it gone ahead it would have been completed by 2017. Over 200,000 bbl/day to Eastern Canada of Alverta oil. The revenues would have stayed in Canada creating growth and jobs. Revenues from ...more

The Liberals always knew how to pizz away taxpayer money , reward those who voted for them and lied continuously promoting some really outlandish agenda. I can remember the Joe Clark , vs Trueau election , it was called the 10 cent a gallon , that's right Dave and you other youngsters who only understand metric. 10 cent a gallon election , Joe lost and Trudeau lived up to his Liberal promise ...more

DivLover, Personally I have more in common culturally and economically with Americans than anybody from Quebec. Who speaks French in the Western Hemusphere? Quebec and Haiti? Oh and French Guyana and a few islands in the Caribbean. Even the Cajuns in Louisiana don't speak French anymore. I tell youngsters to learn English and Spanish. With the Spanish you can pick up the Potuguese in Brazil ...more

Montreal, What's wrong with Americans? 7 of the top 10 research universities on the planet, the other 3 being in the UK. More Nobel prizes than all other countries put together. 5% of the world's population putting out 25% of the world's GDP. No I'm not American but I gotta admit, they're doing something right. Hey today I read that AI developed in the US is making great ...more

Yeah that's my point exactly Montreal, Iran, Iraq, China, Venezuela etc. The US attracts the best. That's why they are the best. Heck the recently retired president of MIT, the top research university in the world, is Rafeal Reif from Maracaibo, Venezuela, leading expert in microelectronics, the technology that invented the smart phone that I am typing on right now.  The US welcomes ...more

You are lumping all of them in the same boat. Remember that a majority of quebecers are proud canadians. As an fyi these quebecers were abandoned by the federal government and the rest of canada and yet still voted for a canadian nation and not to separate. Also, politicians are supposed to leverage what they can for the good of their constituents. It's not the quebecer's fault that ...more

Here masfortuna I'll go out onto a limb here. Masfortuna in Spanish means more fortune or more wealth. You're anglaphone. Lol. Make the pie bigger so that everybody gets a good slice. What's better? 90% of $100,000 or 10% of $1,000,000. Make the pie bigger. How are you going to do that by hamstringing the pie makers? Yeah, call me old school. I'm in the csmp of former Newfoundland ...more

I agee 100% with your post. 1 country with everybody being treated equally. No spcial treatment. As an fyi I am NOT Canadian. Rather I am a naturalized Canadian now but whe I attended McGill I was not. The country is a confederacy. If you look at the details, they are already allowed to dictate certain legislations that the federal government could not stop. The point is that the Liberals were elected by the Canadian  electorate and not just by Qebecers. It's the same thing with the Dems south of us.  The Liberal party has accepted under their umbrella every special interest group ...more

Mas, Quebec is the province always threatening to separate from Confederation. Anyway enough of this bickering. Quebec and Canada have huge problems. No bickering mate. Let me put it differently. If you moved to quebec then I guess you would want to separate from Canada? No didn't think so amd neither do most of the people that live there or they would have. That's all I am saying. Anyhow it's all good as it isn't my fight either way. Fair enough mas. I'd never move to Quebec anyway, nor to many parts of Canada. Too many black flies, horse flies, mosquitos. I love arid, semi-arid climates. Few bugs.  Yeah I wonder how the link below will shape oil&gas regulations. They're blaming the warming oceans on CO2: https://www.washingtonpost.com/weather/2023/07/28/ocean-temperature-maps-heat-records/
