Thanks riddler, OK I'll take a stab at it but I'm just learning about level 2 which is what day traders use to predict price action and volumes. To me it looks like no major impediments on sp increase. So we may see higher volumes as some investors take profits as others jump in. Anyway here is where I started learning about level 2: https://www.investopedia.com/articles/trading/06 ...more

Kelvin.. I just noticed your comments... Beware of using level 2 quotes as an indication of market direction....Large savy traders with specifically put up additional bids and offers in behind in hopes of influencing the sentiment of other traders to try to coerce others....Watching level 2 live I can see trading house putting in walls, floors and other levels without actually wanting to trade ...more

Nextlegup, Thanks for the heads-up!  It sounds like 3-D chess. I struggle with the pros playing 2-D chess. So I guess that they play with people's expectations. I followed up on a lot of stuff in the video. The following cut and paste exactly articulates what you just posted:  What Is Reflexivity? Reflexivity in economics is the theory that a ...more

George was the Master of gravitating towards chaos and finding the value and exploiting it... When something in the world had a volatile move, he would sometimes hop in and either buy or sell the "over-reaction" by the market...

Like when he shorted the Thai Baht in 1998 triggering the Asian tiger crisis that he purportedly made $2 billion on in 1998 dollars. And didn't he previously almost break the Bank of England in 1992? Anyway someone associated him with the Dems. I saw him in an interview with CBC (with Peter Mansbridge I think it was) where he said that he was apolitical because the nation state is dead anyway ...more
