Sellers about to have regret

We know how this goes.  Tomorrow probably up 5%.
Comment by Kelvin on Sep 07, 2023 12:24pm
Don't know about that. The macro is still worried about inflation and possible recession. The yield on the 2 year US treasury bond is still hanging around 5%. Inflation expectations still very high. It's affecting well drilling and completions costs. Netbacks are getting squeezed. High commodity prices are keeping the netbacks attractive for now. I expect investors to become more defensive ...more

and then on the TA side solid black spinning top followed by a shooting start, somebody might learn why you dont chase overbought ;)

Cobalt, imo a better measure would be net asset value (NAV) = debt + market cap. NAV already has netback therefore operating revenues minus operating expenses incorporated into it. It would take into account the sharply rising drilling, completions, production and shipping costs on the expenside along with the per well decline in production rates and price fluctuations on the revenue side.  ...more

This one red day equals 8 days in green plus with oil holding firm around $87

People here are investors not traders... they dont count days like you.... Buy a lottery..this is not a get rich quick scheme...lol it is a company

What do you mean by investors, you may mean being lifetime in one company's shares, I am in BTE for 7 years and initially I bought it around 6.25 ish and now it is 10% lower than 7 years a go while most other oil stocks are from double to 4 times in this 7 years time frame. Yes, I made a mistake to not sell it last year when it hit $9 I admit this mistake, because I had a target of $12

He is not even an investor as he has been in and out off oil names all the time and flip flopping from name to name.
Comment by Cobalt on Sep 07, 2023 1:54pm
Adjusted for inflation you need a 36% move higher just to break even $7.67 opportunity cost sitting here for 7 years is another ball game.
Comment by VeritasVern on Sep 07, 2023 1:43pm
Down 2.75% today might be overdone. We will find out tomorrow and next week if it was a buy opportunity.
Comment by 1234bmth on Sep 07, 2023 1:56pm
If oil holds or goes higher by next week, this is definitely an opportunity, but if oil slides this will slide more than most oil stocks. After Ranger Oil acquisition BTE is exposed to high rewards and risks, so in both direction of oil move, BTE will react more than its peers.

I am buying on this shakeout weakness. 5.69 and 5.65.
