Judge rules Willow oil project in Alaska's Arctic can proceed

The massive Willow oil project on Alaska's North Slope can move forward, a federal judge in Anchorage ruled Thursday.

U.S. District Court Judge Sharon Gleason rejected the claims of environmental groups, who argued the government's decision to approve the ConocoPhillips project didn't adequately consider its contribution to climate change and potential harm to the region's threatened polar bears.

The decision removes one of the last obstacles to the project, which would be the largest oil development on federal land in decades, and has become a flashpoint for climate activists.

 About 5 weeks ago, oil traded at a high of $91. Then all the hedge funds pulled out and placed a massive short on oil. Then the media began their  " little demand, large supply," narrative and here we are. Besides the fact that the hedge funds pulled out PRIOR to any negative news ( at the time it appeared oil was poised for $100) which speaks volume about how rigged the ...more

And the build is a paper build as a lot of tankers are stuck outside of Panama Canal.  GReat sale today.  Money goes directly to debt.  I would prefer they drop the dividend for next year and pay off debt and just buy back shares but alas, Eric wants his divvy.  He has earned it with his investment.  I have a lot in here now too.  It will be back at $6 soon enough ...more
