buyout price

Hi everyone, I just bought 6000 shares today, my average price is around $4.30.  My hope is some big company in the US will buy us out at, say, $2 above current price.  I can be wrong of course, but today is also the last day to buy for dividend.  I should have bought it yesterday, stupid me.  Anyone here has any projection on fair buyout price?  I am willing to buy and hold for long time.

Again, the chance of BTE getting acquired is very low due to spreaded assets and higher production cost than its peers, yes, BTE can sell its Canadian ...more

The chance of a company being bought out just after you buy shares is incredibly low. Deals are not that common and there are hundreds of companies. It's a ridiculous strategy and we all know he won't be here by Friday because the stock will either go down 3% triggering a sell or it will go up 1.5% triggering a sell for a profit of maybe $100 net of fees and taxes to help offset some other ...more

Well I've been here for 8 years and you are the first to ever mention they are investing to capture a buyout premium. So as to investing in BTE anticipating a buyout, it's a lot closer to nobody than everybody, and might have been nobody before you bought your shares.
