I agree about Canadian exposure

BTE still needs Canada but selling their properties could be used to pay down their debt and if the US economy starts slowing oil will suffer because China and the US are the biggest but China is still in a coma so everything is betting on the US and all your eggs in one basket is never good. The FED keeps sending warnings from Bank failures, Consumer debt, and a runaway DOW ignoring any writtings on the wall. Tree's only grow so high!
Texas is a prime area but they could have a civil war or a referendum to seperate from the US so the waters there are choppy too.
Theres only one thing that will help BTE, Higher oil prices!

My view on Eagle Ford assets are the exact opposite.  If Eagle Ford properties have such high value on the market, sell them and pay of the mountain of debt, and maybe buy back a whack of shares while at it.  The expension of Baytex into the Eagle Ford (two major moves over the years I believe) are what put the company in dangerous waters because of the debt required to finance each ...more
