like it or not, i think Trump wins the US election. That will put a dagger thru the heart of EV anything south of the border. Then you've got PP with a massive lead in the polls over Trudeau and the days of woke and climat alarmism are pretty much done. I'd love to see the end of all this BS nonsense. The problem for us oil investors is I don't think Trump and PP will do much for the ...more

Maybe, Maybe not.  I'm still waiting for the recession that will tank oil into the 40s you said was imminent over a year ago. You stuck with this prediction in December and took the opportunity to tell BTE shareholders that prediction who were having a miserable time watching the share price drop from $5.50. We lost many long term shareholders late last year, perhaps some of them because ...more

I agree with most of what you said but hope your wrong about the price of Oil and Stocks north of the border. If they both win I think the cooperation between the two countries will improve and hopefully one of the first things Trump does is approve Keystone pipeline again. If that happens I think there is good chance investment will return to the patch in Canada as we no longer have the want to ...more

I'd rather sell our crude on international markets than to the US for discounted prices, only to have them turn around and sell it in the international markets for higher prices.. :-/ The orange buffoon will do no favors for Canadian crude aside from capitalize on it being land locked.. THAT you can bank on.. :-/
Comment by calaltacan on Mar 13, 2024 11:03am

Once the TMP gets filled and operational the 500,000 brls that would normally go south will be redirected to international markets we should be able to see a bump in crude prices as they're dictated by the US markets.. evaporate a few hundred thousand barrels a day from their data and see what happens to the price then..! It will take years for Canada to add that much to our output so as ...more
