BTE does not make the money to pay back their heavy debt. And probably they are buying back some shares just in case they need more money and they will put  an new  issuance of shares to finance their basic operations.  The big issue is:  all their numbers are  with an WTI at $78.50.  From July  BTE  did not make enough money  to meet their expectations ...more

So what?

Over $55, (cripes $70 cannot do anything), how does that contribute to the stock price which has been tanking? I don't give a ratz azz if the company is making money, I only care if I  am. Ditch this idiotic dividend, I did NOT buy this stock for a pitifull dividend yield. Revenue, wells drilled, Boe, properties, ebita, bla bla bla  etc means sfa to a shareholder without results.  ...more

well we had a chance to buy at .32 and that means we are making money   I am tempted to average up at these levels but havent pulled the trigger

If you're looking at the debt figures on slide 13, the footnote notes the debt at June 30.  Buybacks have to be disclosed monthly. A debt figure you're only going to get 4 times a year.  I suppose you could always ask IR and see how they resond
