BTE WILL SELL OFF ITS CANADIAN OPERATIONS

You wait and see.

It's worth 1.5 BLN to 1.7 BLN.

Then the remaining company Baytex America will have 750K USD in debt only and the shares will be 7 bucks.

Eric recently just said that their Canadian assets are their core holdings. They will maintain their Eagleford assets to continue to bankroll and grow their Canadian assets. Zero chance under current management that they'll sell anything.

Might have to or be bought out entirely and the new owner will do it.

That will be more likely, if they keep dropping that it becomes a no brainer to scoop up baytex operations for half of its book value.

- it is NOT a "SHOT" - it is a COUNTER ARGUEMENT - NOTICE that YOU did NOT make ANY COMMENTS on the HIGH Clearwater MARGINS POINT - so WHERE is the "DISCUSSION" ? z173

- by the way: - former CEO of MEG Energy Derek Evans was VERY INTERESTED in the CLEARWATER HEAVY OIL properties but RAN AWAY DUE TO the HIGH ASKING PRICES - he said that he COULD NOT JUSTIFY any ACQUISITIONS in the AREA to the MEG shareholders so he DROPPED IT z173

The debt is a deterrent for sure, but if share prices drop low enough, then at some point it'll be a non-factor for the majors that can handle a few billions in debt + purchase cost to get a steady 150,000+ bbl/d production.  Ofc if it was a Canadian major like cnrl, then they'd sell the Eagleford assets, and vice versa if it was a US major.
