Any risk of going under here?
Trying to understand if I should buy more or get out?
Is it just tax loss selling? Is this Nuttal's downfall?
I felt good originally buying it as it was a top pick of his.
My responsibility of course - just trying to figure out what to do here.

Why is this even a discussion, BTE is spectacularly profitable at $70 oil. How many businesses on the TSX yield over 15% FcF under current commodity prices?

Baytex is largely owned by retail, and the recent tank in stock price reflects this. Looks like most retail don't look at balance sheets for quarterly reports.

Baytex has institutional ownership via ETFs, but short sellers that are attacking the company since the debt position can be a worry. Management should have sold non core assets to compensate for ranger acquisition. Balance sheets are gold and sadly we're paying the price.

Also should not be doing any share buybacks until the short-term debt is under control IMO.

They would be amiss to NOT be buying their own shares at these ridiculously low prices. I do however agree they should not be paying a dividend currently until the debt is much lower.

Your assessment & conclusion is misleading and very simplistic. You haven't factored money that's coming in daily as those Sedar reports are just random snapshots: as well, they have the revolving credit to draw on. Ultimately, your claim is baseless and without merit.

better now: - MISSED SHARE BUYBACKS - 1- ELIMINATE SHARE BUYBACKS and DIVIDENDS z173

Present value of company based on share value is approximately what the value of the debt is. I wonder if, or when, this may breach loan convenants.

You are enviously short on brain cells or the stock. Baytex was .31 cents a few years ago. This is a tax loss selling haven. This will be five bucks first week Han.

Don't think theirs any chance, but we could drop alot if this incompetent management team sends out a new pesentation, that alone will drop the share price. This team proves you can't fix stupid.
