West African issues

"We know how to mine our gold and I don't understand why we are going to let multinationals come and mine it".
This is a recent quote attributed to Ibraham Traore, the junta leader from Burkina Faso.
Said he's going to withdraw mining permits.
Good thing that B2 has a good relationship with the leaders in Mali.
West Africa is becoming more and more inhospitable to gold mining companies, and some say Russia is behind it all.
Of course there are other factions vying for the gold in that part of Africa as well.
