much respect kingscorpion, i meant to ask you : do you think cematrix is waiting for $CAN to go higher so the deal is better for the US company they want to buy?

There is positive and negative to canadian dollar going up, the positive is CVX can buy machinary and equipment cheaper, the negative in exchange US to CAN dollar, CVX get less rate less money wise, and , as Kingscropion mention before, CVX should hurry up to buy US company, before they jack up the price.

Also the cash Cematrix raised and what they have in cash is in CAD so with the exchange rate low the cash will go further south of the border if the aquire or expand. As long as it doesn't go down too much more shouldn't affect Cematrix that much. I'm sure they factor exchange rates when quoting the backlog

If anybody can predict with accuracy what the exchange rate will be in the future at a given time, then we are ALL in the wrong business. It's always nice to have a favourable exchange rate, but if you need a favourable exchange rate in order to make an acquisition make sense, then you are not making a good acquisition in my opinion.
