A short read following up my looong previous post

I forgot to mention, the Q1 buyback was 0.922M, then Q2 was 1.46M. Of the 2.944M authorization, that's about 82%. Decent... and for a major quarter they likely drop a SIB worth 2 months at least. More of Ken hedged like he's done before.

Anyway, check my previous post at it's more substantive and scathing.  This is just descriptive bland stuff I forgot to add the first time.

I mean, I was a solid C- kid in highschool, so I'm no genius but it sounds like there's still a lot of latent value in CFF... These are the kinds of analytical posts we need more of. I wouldn't really call myself "boots on the ground" but I travel out that way every few months to check up on stuff. Sure, I can send a couple pics over if you like. That's the massive silver lining in the insane lumber prices eh? Theoretically, it should've wiped out a significant portion of debt and increase cashfolw for pretty much any lumber company on the market. Even ...more

You guys don't read news, eh? https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-06-30/british-columbia-tree-costs-surge-as-lumber-makers-move-south July lumber futures hit $490 today, CFF mill is most likely not profitable below $400.

Dang, no, I rarely do any reading outside of some NSFW magazines personally. But when I do, I make sure to follow those swell media insights blindly.  You're probably being overly generous assuming minimal earnings at $400 given the fiasco that is the BC market pricing system, CFF being an uncompetitive operator, and it's old asset base. But, it begs the question, is July pricing ...more
