Sold out my position

I received this e-mail from Quadravest this morning. I believe that this removes any doubt as to what shareholders will receive at termination. The $29.22 is the combined N.A.V. of both CGQ & CGQ.e.

I will miss the dividend but not the risk. GOOD luck to all those who continue to hold.

Good morning,

CGQ.E Equity Dividend shareholders currently receive a monthly dividend of $0.0875 per share ($1.05 annually) with the objective of returning their issue price at windup on November 30, 2013.

You may sell your shares at any time for the trading price however CGQ.E shareholders will receive a maximum of their $15 issue price at windup only if there are sufficient funds in the managed portfolio portion of the net asset value at that time. The most recent net asset value was $29.22 as at Jan 15/13 with the managed portfolio portion being $4.48. So if the fund wound-up today, CGQ.E shareholders would receive $4.48 Net asset values are update every 15 days and posted to the web site under "Valuations" as soon as they are received from RBC Dexia (within two business days).

CGQ.E typically trades close to the value of the managed portfolio however if investors are purchasing the shares in the market, it can trade at a premium because most investors adopt a buy/hold strategy for the monthly income payments.

The managed portfolio is impacted by movements in the stocks held in the Company and currency fluctuations on the U.S. portion. In addition to providing CGQ.E with proceeds at windup, the managed portfolio generates the income which funds the dividends paid out as well as any fees and expenses of the Company. CGQ.E shareholders have received $12.41 per share in distributions to date.

Please refer to the Company's regulatory reporting under Fund Reporting on the web site for more detailed Company information. The next report due is the Nov 30/12 MRFP/Annual report and it will be posted prior to the end of February deadline.

Please let us know if you require any further information.

Kind regards.

Looks to me like they have no intention or courage to extend this fund. No mention of the terms and conditions for extension at all. You have done the right thing - run !!!!

Spazzman, thank you for the follow-up in-spite having sold-off these units. Looks like you are right - the nav keeps dropping.
