People comparing to 2019 levels of attendence with under 50% of total volumes of movies out... Thinking people cant linearly extrpolate the timing difference between covid being over vs. the lag to when that shows up in theatrical productions.
I call this Phenomenon CineLags. Attendence isn't down cause people dont want to go to movies, its down because not enough movies are out. The question is are not enough movies out due to covid or due to online streaming? Think its probably both, here is to hoping for Q3 2022 to be the lull in box office attendence for years to come!
