With debt maturities likely to be extended, covenents relaxed, possible convertible dilution reduced I think the equity works higher.

Just kicking the can down the road to see if enough movie attendance happens to actually make money - all the other attractions are noise if not enough people go into the theatre. The converts look better than equity with a 7.75% expected coupon

exactly - extending maturities - and reducing potential dilution = kicking can down the road = extending and protecting optionality = higher share price (converts too).
