Buying "shooting Stars" Is Perilous

I dunno, sold all at around $34.00. As they say, sell yours when everyone else is desperate to buy your shares.

kind of kicking myself for not selling at 36.00.. but I'll hang in there a little longer and hope it goes back up.. the divvy is not longer a compeling enough reason to hold to it..

not sure what "shooting star" has anything to do with this company as the valuation is rock bottom but you are right, you can never go broke taking a profit   having said that, these shares are basing to go higher..... shares that show rthis kind of strength thru tough markets very often lead the market higher   im still waiting for 38-40$ before i pare back any more   ...more

Look, all I'm saying is that the Oct. 2011 buy-ins @ $21.00 are, to-day, May, 24th, looking at a 50% profit, "sound fundamentals" or not. Many of us are program traders..we don't care what the "rosy outlook" is, we're out at, say, 50%, or whatever sell price target you set. What's wrong with "targets" is not recognizing a recent  "lo ...more

Yea I am sure this is a pretty standard formula for most people..  no matter what, when you make a 50% profit after 8 months sell, sell, sell sell.

This stock is trading at very reasonable multiples. Debt level is also very safe and getting better every quarter. In fact, the company will probably be debt free before the end of the year, even after the game changing acquisition of HNZ in 2011. I understand those who are tempted to cash a quick profit when it comes along , but I don't believe it's a good idea with CHL. IMO, this stock ...more
