Stock Market is Crazy!

Really weird world.  So I took the opportunity that Covid presented in the Markets to trim out dogs and double down on some real beaten up stocks that were beaten up for absolutely no reason!  Have to admit not a bad year in the market.  That said, the market in many instances is absolutely crazy!  Air Canada teetering and at a real risk of insolvency long term is booming?  Sort of reminds me of a very good friend who did not want to retire because he was waiting for a government buyout.  Unfortunately, he died waiting.  AC is waiting for a Government bailout so alot of pain is on pause.  The plan is to shut down even more regional routes but they do not want to pss the gov off just yet.  AC and Chorus stock is rising while tax payers are subsidizing their payroll go figure!  Now if the Gov is smart just like the Auto bailout of 2008 they take a pound of flesh by taking shares in AC.  Another method would simply offer lower cost loans!  Here is the part that a Chorus shareholder might worry about.  While most gov negotiators are typically brain dead and listen to some consultant that works for the industry being bailed out every once in a while the guy knows what he is doing.  If so, I suspect the AC Chorus deal might be on the table!  They cannot bailout AC just so cash can be funnelled to Chorus!  Or maybe they can.  Either way at Chorus price today I would be taking profits as the downside may be as great if not greater than the upside!

This move is pure political gold.  Anyone who knows Nova Scotia politics will see this as a pressure tactic.  This will create some pressure in Ottawa

The airline is also suspending four routes until further notice in Fredericton, Halifax, Charlottetown and Deer Lake.  Plus all Routes for Saint John. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/new-brunswick/air-canada-saint-john-sydney-airport-atlantic-fredericton-halifax-1.5832712
