Allez creusons...

In the short term, the share price could move +/- 10%, everyone should know what they will do when it happens. The spot price for P65 today was $255, you know that means Champion is having an incredible 1st quarter that will pay for a lot of things. I agree with you Ouijafund but look at the share price since the end of April after they announced that the results were over their expectations. It should be a boost for the investors but unfortunatly not. So yes I agree with the arguments you brought but at the end, but I can't find any explainations regarding the drop since the last reports.

Australia seems to mess up the share price at night :) I saw this opinion article from an Australian commentator Australian government: Bowel-shaking iron ore crash imminent and this is the kind of fear-sentiment that is keeping Champion's share price down even though P65 is at $250. Champion at $6 is a bargain.  Below that it is 'clearance rack'.  There's too much ...more

Dividend will be the key. You do not invest on long term on ressources stocks since prices are so volatile and so sp if you are not rewarded with dividend when things are doing perfect. I think this is the mood with this stock now. Very soon, CIA managers will have to seriously think about it as soon as phase 2 fully capitalized and company debt free. Otherwise, CIA might be stuck at actual levels ...more

Totally agree with you Pro. Without dividend, share holders start to play with the stock. Sale at high price and buy back at lower but with the dividend, I think it stabalized a bit the market and even makes it attractive and the consequence can be an increasement of the stock at its real value. Anyway we will see apparently by the end of the year in which direction the company wants to go.

I may be wrong but I think their unofficial agenda is to be buy out by a major of the industry. Better to get capital gain than dividend ... I really this is what is going to happen. O'keeffe is not a young boy anymore (over 66) and will want to cash in before the end.

Hello Pro, how do you explain that there hasn't already been an offer for a major? At 4 billion ($ 8 / share), that would be an incredible bargain for a major. As an investor, I can't wait to see what happens next ...
Comment by PROINVESTALOT on Jun 30, 2021 11:15am
I think it will be an offer sooner than later. But with merely 50% of shares owned by insiders and institutionals, I think it will be all set up with them before announced. Just a question of time for me.

In agreement with you.  We've been talking about a possible sale for a while.  But with all the assets the company currently has ex: cash in hand, phase 2 almost complete, the Kami project, and all the other properties, I believe the shear is worth around $ 10.00.  What do you think?
Comment by WindsorGuy on Jun 30, 2021 11:47am
$10.00 is the minimum IMHO. They already have a pile of cash and great assets as you said. GL

Reming Cliff paid nearly 5 billions us$ for Consolidated Thompson assets in 2011-2012... It would mean roughly 12 $cdn today... With all adds since that I would say a 12-15$ cdn $ range would make sense. Lets wait and see.

Agree with you !!!

At this price I'm a seller, GTLA

Good point Pro, I would like to know how much O'Keeffe is willing to sell. It's probably over 5 billion ($ 10 / share) I say it like that, Fortescue makes more than 5 billion in net profit in a single year ...

Offer would have to carry a premium since as you say it needs to be supported by key shareholders. CIA is fortunate as are shareholders since the expansion will be clear of debt. That alone should be enough for funds to start buying more shares. The perpetual discount days are hopefully coming to a close. Been here since $1.30/sh. Loads of value and good fortune since then. Reward time!! Retain ...more

I totally agree. Not given any credit for CDN operations which are very strong. Iron ore prices have remained strong. Just yesterdaqy TD analyst put a price target of $8.00. mI've been accumulating below $6.00. GLTA.
