will CNQ initiate a buyout of CJ ?
CJ's presentation has indicated it will focus on debt reduction....which meant capital expansion is not its priority, so I found it hard to imagine CJ making acquisitions of other cos or energy assets... Being acquired is not something they wave their hands for invitations but other cos which have the appetite may initiate... Which ones have that appetite to buyout CJ ? CNQ ? or some rich pension funds (eg Teachers Pension etc) plan to include CJ in their portfolio ? Any thoughts !!!

It's very likely that CNQ will acquire CJ given that billionaire Murray Edwards recently invested in CJ and holds a big stake in CNQ too.

However, I sold today most of my CJ shares at C$2.75 to reinvest in other NON-energy names with bigger upside potential than CJ.

while we're speculating buyouts, would the new venture of ARX and VII make a play for CJ? maybe more than WCP?? just curious
