Targets

why Price targets for Cj are not that high as for other companies ??   8 bucks what i saw  is average  while some folks saying Double digit yield Div. coming if thats the case BIg money & fund managers whould have loaded on this stock and driving the price Up but its not the case well bought some today .

If they do initiate a .07/month dividend or $.84 per year, that's 12% on a $7 stock. Market generally drives dividend yield to 7% or less which would have the effect off driving the share price to $12 as a7% yield is $.84 yield. No guarantees on either the amount of the dividend or the market response but it does allow us to make a reasonable projection and provides yet another way of ...more

Absolutely, keep in mind the upcoming dividend is intended to be ~50% of cash flow at $90 oil. With $100 oil we rapidly pay off debt which brings us to the next dividend increase.

Thanks for that JayB. I agree on the lower side. I worry about statements coming out about recession, China logistics stalled, #6 growing, wars all over the world plus France.... we will know soon about that. CJ is a good company but lagging the competition.

down 7%  most in O&G  not a good signsof coming things forget the Double Digit Div. if they can start 2-3 cents soon that would be good enough as energy bubble is next burst

I must be missing something because the latest report mentions 50% of free cash flow going to dividend at phase 2 on pages 12-13. $233m cash flow at $90 oil means $116m for the dividend (>10% of market cap). We're still above $90 oil btw. https://cardinalenergy.ca/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/April-2022-Corporate-Presentation.pdf
