In the short term not sure it matters. Most of the astute retail investors will not sell. They will just sit on their hands and collect the dividend as they know in three months the 3rd quarter report will be similar. One third of it is already in the bag.

Agree, but follow through validation is always nice.  Regardless, at today's price this thing will yield 12 to 15% by the end of Q3.

Part of that was market action today with the GDP announcement.   However, if Baytex had cut their debt by more than half like CJ instead of by only 13%, I bet they would have had a significant upside day.   Imagine if they had announced their debt was down to $600 instead of $1.12 billion ......

I wonder if Nuttal trimmed his position in Baytex today.  If so I bet he'll be into Cardinal tomorrow.
