when oil drops 2% shares drop 3%...Not so in reverse

Odd observation in the past few weeks ... when WTI drops 2 % most of my oil stocks drop by more, however when oil climbs back up 2%, my oil holdings rise maybe a half %... somethings got to give at some point.... Last month I blamed this phenomina on tax loss selling... can someone provide a reason for this months discrepancy?

Macro events this week that add an element to day trading. Powell interviews tomorrow, then CPI report due Thursday, so profit tends to be taken off the table and a retracement occurs.  Might see a nice run Thursday if CPI meets or falls below expectations.
