Today's trading?

WTI makes a nice move on the upward side of 2 bucks US a barrel, Cardinal trades over a million shares, yet the end result is a 1 cent rise in the share price?
Anyone got any ideas other than a buyout occurring?

Shorts piling on? Lately CJ has been swing traded and tends to dip after ex-div.   Currently it is trading 2 cents higher than its peak SP pre-ex-div for this month. Even the algos have to figure what goes up must come down and the chart shows some resistance and a trend line it is probably supposed to bounce off of. The current commodity spike might have something to say about that ...more

Thanks Q1, nice comments. Finally a real upswing but for how long. Not sure a buyout is in the cards now but we won't know until it happens. Good trading weather.    P

The vast amount of buyouts seem to happen when the public least  expects it .
