Tax loss selling will end on Dec. 27th

Share price will be hurt a bit till tax loss selling ends..... I GET IT - It makes sense to sell one O&G stock and move your money to another O&G stock and take advantage of a huge tax loss, and still benefit from any O&G gains as tides rise all ships.

I did it years back with banks... Sold all my TD to buy RBC, and later I moved back into TD with a massive tax advantage to buy even more.

I know what your saying.  Where else can you put your money and get 11-12% in dividends with just .20 debt to cashflow though?  I do have others that don't pay dividends like OBE & ATH though.

Get somewhat defensive maybe and take a smaller dividend for a month and look outside direct oil a bit and take something that trades similar. (Just a few I monitor that might work for your intentions) FRU - 7.7% - royalty SRR - 8.9% - royalty PNE - 9.8% - More gassy than oil TOU - 1.9% - everyone should know what this is PHX - 9.9% - energy services CNQ - 4.7% - the big playa ...more
