Rather it is Russia that has pivoted away from the EU. Currently Russia is selling 90% of its oil to China and India with only about 5% going to the EU. The leaders of the EU are not very billiant, they have kept the EU in perpetual stagnation for several decades now. Cementing the move away from the cheap and abundant oil/gas from Russia they can likely add another decade or two of continuing ...more

India takes the Russian oil it gets, refines it, and then sells it to Europe at a nice mark up in price.
